For almost any size AGP I would get something that is 120V. It makes accessing electricity much easier. Due to recent restrictions California pumps must meet higher efficiency performance standards. Many pumps available on Amazon for example cannot be shipped to California. So you might have to ship it to a good friend out of State and have them ship it to you. This is expensive and negates any cost saving on just buying this pump that is not only acceptable, but it uses significantly less electricity than other pumps.
Once you commit to getting an Above Ground Pool (AGP), you will definitely need MANY other items. When I got mine I was going to the store or online shopping many times a week. You'll need a tester, you'll need a net, a vaccum, you'll probbaly want a solar blanket (super blue bubblewrap) and a thermometer too. Budget a good $800 for Accessories. I created a list of all the things I needed, here is my list of "Order As Soon As You Can!" items.
Wht do you need to know? That it is important.
If you have questions about Above Ground Pools please send me note. I would love to try to help you.
